Seattle Colleges District is looking to hire a Tribal Relations Student Ambassador in the Division for Access, Community, and Opportunity (DACO).
The hourly rate for this position is $20.76/ hr.
Opportunity is open until filled, first review of materials will begin September 18th, 2025.
Position Summary
District Division of ACO at the Siegal Center is a space dedicated to creating connections, navigating systems, and promoting engagement opportunities in the service of student success and agency. Our office offers learning and leadership opportunities for our Student Ambassadors, as well as potential students, current students and faculty and staff of Seattle Colleges that utilize our offices district-wide. As an ACO student ambassador, you will help support our mission and value of access, community and opportunity.
This is a unique opportunity to work within, and support, the district-wide ACO offices, across from Seattle Central Campus, with Administrators and District Officers.
This position is part-time, working 19 hours per week during the quarter while enrolled in classes, up to 40 hours a week as long as enrolled in the next quarter. Monday through Friday, primarily 9AM to 6PM.
This position works 100% of the time on-site.

What you will be working on:
* Provide accurate, timely information and referrals to email inquiries and requests.
* Assist ACO District Team with Planning Committees, Task Forces, and Affinity Groups
* Support District ACO Team with day-to-day administrative support
* Help staff and faculty build connections and understand resources/support programs
* Create and refresh ACO online Calendar with up-to-date information of upcoming ACO events and meetings, Siegal Center events and district-wide events on the Seattle Colleges campuses
* Maintain a clean, orderly office environment
* Keeping track of ACO inventory count of books, bags and other ACO materials
* Assisting with ACO Siegal Center and District-wide ACO events/programs
* Participating in student committees, student success initiatives, and special projects, as needed
* Attend weekly one on one with supervisor

What you bring as a candidate: (Any Equivalent Combination of Knowledge, Skills, Abilities,
Education and Experience )
* Demonstrated lived experience in Native communities.
* Demonstrated knowledge of services and programming for Native students and families.
* Must be or plan to be enrolled in a minimum of 10 Seattle Central credit hours each quarter (excluding Summer quarter)
* Must have attended one quarter at Seattle Colleges prior to applying to this position
* Must have and maintain at least a 2.5 quarterly/cumulative GPA
* An eagerness to work with and serve community of all backgrounds: cultural, ethnic, religious, political, gender identity, academic pursuits, and all other ways we define our uniqueness on the district level.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills in English (proficiency is important in this role)
* Ability to bring unique skills and perspective to expand the diversity of the group.
* Desire to help others, and a desire to meet administrative leaders in their roles
* Willingness to learn, be proactive, motivated, clear communicator and self-starter
* Required Attendance at:
* Siegal District and occasionally Central ACO events (in-person and virtually)
* Commencement Ceremonies for Campuses
* Must be available in-person for Fall, Winter, and Spring Quarters 8-12 hours/week, during the hours of 9 AM
