Overview
Saint John’s Preparatory School invites applications for the full-time, benefit eligible position of Director of Admission and Enrollment.
Since its founding in 1857, Saint John’s Preparatory School has provided exceptional education in the Catholic Benedictine tradition. Saint John’s Preparatory School is a Catholic/Benedictine, co-educational, day and boarding college preparatory school for students in grades 6-12, with boarding options beginning in the 9th grade. Saint John's Prep is located on the 3,000 acres of woods and lakes of Saint John's University's campus in central Minnesota.
Prep has continuously dedicated itself to both educational development and personal formation.
The Director of Admission and Enrollment is the school’s lead enrolment officer, reporting directly to the Head of School and serving on the executive leadership team. The Director provides strategic and operational leadership for all facets of the admission process in the school’s effort to attract, enroll, and retain a diverse and dynamic student body of day and boarding students. The span of responsibility includes both enrolment and financial aid strategy.
The Director will join an academically exceptional and highly ranked school. Each year, Saint John’s Prep enrolls students from ten to fifteen countries, four to six states, and more than two dozen communities in Minnesota. Recruitment strategies include a day middle school and a day-boarding upper school. Leveraging its excellence, the school seeks to increase its total enrollment from 275 students to more than 300 students in grades 6 to 12 over the next five years.

The posted wage represents OSB's good faith estimate of likely compensation at the time of posting. Actual pay will be dependent upon several factors, including the candidate's experience, qualifications, and skills, and may fall outside of the range indicated.
Responsibilities- With the support of the Head of School and the executive leadership team, develop a strategic enrollment plan that serves enrollment objectives and overall fulfillment of the Saint John’s Prep mission.
- Develop and execute an annual admission recruitment plan to meet new student enrollment goals within the budget set by the Head of School and Board of Regents.
- Together with the Director of Finance, plan, execute and manage financial aid award strategy.
- Oversee and coordinate tracking of prospective students from inquiry to application to enrollment, providing information to develop long-term initiatives to meet enrollment goals.
- Create and maintain student population projections in support of institutional planning.
- Lead the development of admission marketing and communication plans.
- Lead the school’s Retention Committee.
- Serve as a liaison to the Enrollment Committee of the Board of Regents.
- Assist the Director of Residential Life in creating a culture of hospitality and inclusion for international and domestic boarding students.
- Manage the Admission Office budget.
- Supervise and mentor the Assistant Director of Admission and Admission Assistant.
- Other duties assigned by the Head of School.
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred
- At least five years of demonstrated success in independent school or collegiate admissions or sales and customer relationship management.

- Demonstrated computer knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems.
