Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site position as an After School Teacher for grades 1-8 at Bright Water Waldorf School, located in Seattle, WA. The After School Teacher will be responsible for designing and implementing engaging activities for students in grades 1 through 8, fostering a nurturing and creative environment from 2:45 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Daily responsibilities include overseeing after‑school programming, facilitating structured and unstructured play, and supporting students’ social and emotional development.

The teacher will ensure students' safety and maintain clear and effective communication with both students and parents.

Qualifications
  • Proficiency in Lesson Planning and Curriculum Development to create engaging, age‑appropriate activities for students in grades 1-8.
  • Experience in Teaching and working with students, especially in Lower Grades 1-4.
  • Strong Communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Ability to foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Prior experience in education or child supervision is an asset.
  • Understanding of Waldorf education principles is highly desirable.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Child Development, or a related field is preferred.
