Position DescriptionThe Communication and Media Department at Seattle University is inviting applications for a part-time adjunct faculty member beginning in Fall 2026. Specifically, we are seeking an applicant to teach one section per quarter of our Practical Experience course (CMME-4000). This course meets in person on MW from 3:40 - 5:45 p.m. The academic year begins on/ around Sept. 1 and ends on/around June 15.
This is a community engaged learning course that pairs student teams with local nonprofit organizations to support their communications work. Candidates who have experience in strategic communication, public communication, or the non-profit sector are particularly encouraged to apply.
Qualifications- M.A. in Mass Communication, Strategic Communication or other Relevant Discipline
- Professional experience in strategic communication
- Demonstrated potential or experience in teaching at the college level

Compensation at a GlanceSalary Range: $5000 per course with terminal degree, $4800 non-terminal degree.
