Our Lady of the Lake Catholic School (Preschool–Grade
8) is seeking a joyful, skilled, and mission‑driven First Grade Teacher to join our faculty. This position is an opportunity to shape foundational literacy, numeracy, faith development, and social‑emotional growth during one of the most formative years in a child's educational journey.

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with Archdiocesan standards and best practices in early elementary education
• Implement strong literacy instruction, including phonics, reading comprehension, writing development, and foundational grammar
• Deliver differentiated math instruction that builds conceptual understanding and number fluency
• Integrate faith formation throughout the curriculum and prepare students for active participation in liturgical life
• Use formative and summative assessment to guide instruction and provide timely feedback

• Create a classroom culture of warmth, structure, and accountability
• Differentiate instruction to support diverse learners, including students requiring targeted academic or executive functioning support
• Collaborate with specialists and student support teams to ensure appropriate interventions and enrichment
• Communicate proactively and constructively with families regarding student progress

• Partner with colleagues in Professional Learning Communities to analyze student data and align instruction
• Participate fully in faculty meetings, professional development, and school events
• Contribute positively to the broader school community and uphold the mission and values of Catholic education
• Maintain accurate student records using the school's student information system

• Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education (Master's degree preferred)
• Valid Washington State teaching certification (or ability to obtain)
• Practicing Catholic preferred, or strong commitment to supporting the Catholic mission of the school
• Demonstrated expertise in early literacy instruction
• Strong classroom management skills rooted in consistency and care
• Ability to build positive, professional relationships with students, families, and colleagues

Salary: The salary range for this position is $50,000 - $85,000. Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data, applicant's skills, and prior relevant experience, degrees, and certifications.
