Bright Water Waldorf School is an independent school serving students Pre‑K to 8th grade with a developmentally appropriate, multidisciplinary, experiential, and academically rigorous education that cultivates students’ heads, hands, and hearts. Our home is within the Japanese Cultural Community Center of Washington in Seattle’s Chinatown International District neighborhood. We are called toward a new future and are orienting our school’s evolution toward equity and community.

- Who is familiar with experiential pedagogy
- Who strives to deepen their understanding of diversity, equity, and inclusion

- Who is flexible, adaptable, and communicative
- Must be 18 years or older
- At least one year of experience working with early childhood (ages 1 to
6) or grade school (ages 7 - 14) children - Compliance with regulations outlined in the Department of Children, Youth, and Families (DCYF) and active MERIT account or willingness to create one
- Commitment to equity; anti‑racist, gender‑inclusive environments; and evaluation of systemic privilege and oppression with openness to personal and institutional growth
Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Familiarity with Waldorf Education or openness to learn
Location: On campus at Bright Water Waldorf School, 1414 S Weller Street, Seattle, WA 98144
Hours: Part Time;
Variable hours from Monday - Friday during the hours of 8:00 a.m.
- 6:00 p.m., depending upon shift needs
Compensation: $20.76 - $35.00/hour, depending upon experience
Benefits: Sick Leave – 1 hour for every 30 hours worked
