Midway Elementary School is seeking a 5th Grade Dual Language Teacher (English/Spanish) to join our team of educators for the upcoming school year!
SUMMARYDual Language Teachers work in an exciting 50:50 dual language program model. In this program, students are immersed in the partner language (Spanish, Vietnamese, etc.) for 50% of the day, and English for 50% of the day. At the elementary grade level, this can be both a two‑classroom model or a single classroom model.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS- Education and experience:
Current Washington State Teacher’s certificate with appropriate subject area endorsement(s) and native or native‑like proficiency in oral and academic World Language and English. - Additional requirements:
Pass ACTFL language proficiency test in the specified World Language with Advanced Low or higher score, criminal background clearance, and all certificates, licenses, endorsements, permits, and vaccines (absent exemption) as required for this position by state and local authorities.
