Childcare Teacher UW Medical Center – Children’s Center at Northwest
Outstanding opportunity for a Teacher at the UW Medical Center Children’s Center at Northwest.
Work Schedule- 40 hours per week
- Monday – Friday
- Day Shift
- 100% Onsite
The UW Medical Center Children’s Center at Northwest offers year‑round care to infants, toddlers, and preschool children. The center operates by the Reggio Emilia philosophy, emphasizing child‑centered learning and respect for each child’s natural development.
PrimaryJob Responsibilities
- Create and implement classroom curriculum aligned with the UWMC‑Northwest childcare philosophy.
- Oversee staff and volunteers working directly with the children.
- Oversee classroom arrangement, organization, storage, maintenance, and clean‑up.
- Attend to daily needs of children such as meal preparation, feeding, clean‑up, diaper changing, and toilet training.
- Implement individual behavioral plans.
- Observe and document children’s learning.
- Maintain daily written records on individual children, including attendance, eating, sleeping, accidents, and medication.
- Recommend referrals and provide input for parent conferences.
- Attend all required trainings, including State Training and Registry System (STARS) classes.
- Associate Degree or equivalent in Early Childhood Education or Child Development Associate.
- OR
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field.
- Equivalent education/experience substitutes for all minimum qualifications except when legal requirements (license/certification/registration) apply.
Pay Range Minimum: $24.07 hourly
Pay Range Maximum: $34.90 hourly
