About the Opportunity
Job Summary:
In-person teaching of our undergraduate Aerospace minor core courses of Fluid Mechanics (ME3475), Introduction to Flight (ME3465), and Aeronautical Propulsion (ME3470). The instructor will prepare class notes, homework sets, quizzes, midterm exams, final exams, and grade all assignments. The instructor will coordinate coverage materials, assessments, and textbooks with the Thermofluids group coordinator or their representative. Lectures and assessments will be synced with the Boston campus if logistics allow.
- Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering with a Thermo-Science concentration.
- Clear understanding of undergraduate fluid mechanics.
- Experience in aerospace system design, including aerodynamics of flight and propulsion systems.
- Experience with classroom teaching.
- Ability to use the first seven chapters of the Frank White textbook as a guide.
- Prepare class notes and deliver class time.
- Hold office hours.
- Prepare homework sets, quizzes, and exams.
- Grade homework, quizzes, and exams.
- Attend weekly or periodic coordination meetings with Boston campus representatives/instructors.

Pay RangePer credit rate: $2693.75.
