Position Overview

Music Kids is looking for enthusiastic educators to join our team for the  school year to teach beginning level violin, piano, and guitar. The program offers small group classes (usually 2-4 students) and some individual lessons on-site at local partner schools.

Part‑time Teaching Role

We are hiring for a part‑time position to teach in new partner schools starting classes in January during after‑school hours, 3 days per week.

Candidate Profile

We are looking for enthusiastic and open‑minded educators interested in teaching very young students, ages 3 and up. We consider music teachers who want to expand their horizons and classroom teachers who want to pivot their careers back into music. Ability to teach violin and guitar/piano is strongly preferred but not required. Curriculum resources and assistance are available to learn the basics for beginner level teaching of all three instruments.

The

Organization

Music Kids exists to enrich and improve student development by bringing musical instrument education programs into the local school environment. Music Kids has taught thousands of students at over 100 active partner schools throughout DC, MD, VA, IL, MO, MA, NY, CT, CA, PA, and WA.
