ARC, in partnership with Seattle Parks and Recreation, serves Seattle by offering access to licensed childcare and a variety of recreational and lifelong learning programs. The Theatre Instructor at Ballard Community Center will guide participants through acting exercises, improvisation, character development, movement, and performance skills. Camp objectives include building confidence, encouraging creative expression, developing stage presence, and fostering collaboration in a supportive environment.

Schedule

Monday-Friday | 8:45pm – 4:15pm

Duties and Responsibilities

Create fun, engaging theatre lessons tailored to youth.
Lead daily activities including improv, character creation, and short scenes.
Prepare the classroom/stage area and reset it after each session.
Identify needed props, supplies, or simple costume pieces.
Maintain attendance and complete required reports.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Experience working with children.
Experience in theatre, acting, directing, or performing arts.

Pay and Benefits

Pay: $25.00-$26.00/hr

Benefits: ARC Paid Sick and Safe Time (PSST)
