Description
The Department of Marketing and International Business in the Foster School of Business, University of Washington invites applications for a faculty position at the rank of Assistant, with an anticipated start date of September 2027. We seek applicants who demonstrate commitment to excellence in research, teaching, and service in a diverse and inclusive academic community. The successful candidate will join our faculty on a full-time basis for a nine‑month academic appointment for a 3‑year term, renewable if Assistant Professor beginning September 2027.
The base salary range for this position will be $24,000 - $35,000 per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination.
The successful candidate will perform research in quantitative marketing, with a focus on AI and data analytics. Teaching responsibilities will focus on AI and marketing analytics courses in masters and undergraduate programs. This position will be expected to develop impactful scholarship and engage in effective teaching, mentorship, and service.
The Department of Marketing and International Business, with its international reputation for research productivity and teaching excellence, works together with other Foster School departments, UW schools and colleges, and community partners to support top‑ranked programs at the undergraduate, MBA, MSBA, Ph.D., and executive levels. As a business school, the Foster School is a global thought leader in numerous areas, and the University of Washington is among the world’s best public universities.

QualificationsApplicants for this position must meet the following minimum qualifications:
- Candidates must have or be nearing completion of a PhD or foreign equivalent in Business Administration, Marketing, Operations Research, Computer Science, Economics, Statistics, or other related fields.
- A qualified candidate may be considered for temporary appointment as an Acting Assistant Professor, pending PhD, with conversion to appointment Assistant Professor after degree conferral if the terminal degree has not been conferred by the position start date.
