Description

The Department of Radiology is seeking a faculty member to develop and maintain an independent funded research program focused on imaging of diseases using Magnetic Resonance Imaging methods. The successful candidate will collaborate with investigators from Radiology, Neurosurgery, Vascular Surgery, Mechanical Engineering, and Harborview Medical Center, and will support teaching, research, and administrative missions in the Imaging Research Laboratory, Department of Radiology, and UW School of Medicine.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and sustain an independent research program with external funding.
  • Conduct imaging research, primarily using MRI, in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.
  • Participate in teaching and mentorship of medical students, residents, and graduate students.
  • Engage in department and university service activities.
Qualifications
  • PhD (or foreign equivalent) in basic or clinical science, imaging physics and/or engineering, computer science, informatics, or a related field.
  • At least five years of relevant experience post-terminal degree, including a minimum of two years of postdoctoral training.
Compensation

Base salary range: $8,750 – $13,334 per month ($105,000 – $160,008 annually), commensurate with experience and qualifications.
