Job Summary and Responsibilities
As an Emergency Department Educator RN, you will lead the development and delivery of nursing and clinical education programs across our organization, supporting both foundational and advanced practice. Your role is vital in promoting professional growth and ensuring high care standards.
Every day you will plan, conduct, and evaluate diverse educational initiatives, orientations, and trainings for clinical staff. You'll collaborate with leadership and regional teams to enhance patient care quality and cost-effectiveness through strategic educational support.
To be successful, you will demonstrate strong instructional design, delivery skills, and expertise in patient care and adult learning. Exceptional communication, collaboration, and critical thinking are essential to align educational strategies with organizational goals.
- Conduct needs analyses to identify immediate/future education needs and develop education/training programs designed to meet identified learning needs and comply with city, county, state, federal and The Joint Commission guidelines as applicable.
- Confere with service lines and department management to identify immediate and future development requirements.
- Create, write, update, and/or modify written and multimedia education modules, programs, curriculum, course outlines, and lesson plans that are consistent with overall course objectives and participant needs.
- Incorporate delivery of care and clinical techniques appropriately to address special population needs in educational offerings.
- Conduct and evaluate education/training programs/activities provided to ensure they are consistent with identified learning needs, including classroom training.
- Implement programs in accordance with city, county, state, federal, and The Joint Commission (TJC) requirements where applicable.
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing and three years of RN nursing work experience in the designated specialty area that demonstrates the attainment of the requisite job knowledge, skills and abilities.
- Active Washington State Registered Nurse License.
- Basic Life Support - CPR certification.
Preferred
- Master's degree in related field and previous work experience in the education/training of healthcare providers.
$50.25 - $85.90 /hour
