We seek applicants who demonstrate commitment to excellence in research, teaching, and service in a diverse and inclusive academic community. The successful candidate will join our faculty on a full-time basis for a twelve-month appointment (3‑year term, renewable, if Assistant Professor).

Assistant Professors are eligible for multi‑year appointments that align with a 12‑month service period (July 1‑June 30). The Department of Pediatrics is a close affiliate of Seattle Children’s Hospital (SCH) and Seattle Children’s Research Institute (SCRI).

Faculty members appointed in the Department are located at various institutions (including Seattle Children’s, UW Medicine, and FHCRC), and are part of the Children’s University Medical Group (CUMG) clinical practice plan.

The successful candidate will be expected to participate in direct clinical activities as an attending physician, responsible for providing and supervising the care of patients at sites of care for Pediatric Emergency Services; participate in local, regional and national activities that will promote clinical interests as well as develop career goals; assist in faculty development efforts during career progression; and assist the department in its development through committee memberships as requested.
