North Seattle College is looking to hire a Program Specialist for our Continuing Education Department.
Full salary range for this position is $61,512 - $80,820 (DOE).

This position performs complex, independent program coordination and administration in Continuing Education. The role requires analysis, judgment, collaboration, and leadership of a large program (3,600 registrations annually) while working under general direction of the Director of Continuing Education.
This position is typically scheduled to work Monday through Friday, 8 a.m.–5 p.m. at the North Seattle College campus. The schedule may vary depending on department needs. May be required to work evenings and weekends as needed to support department needs.
This position is governed by a collective bargaining agreement with representation by WFSE and subject to union shop provisions.

What You Will Be Working On Course Development & Quality Assurance- Coordinate the development, revision, and ongoing evaluation of Continuing Education courses to ensure instructional quality and relevance.
- Develop and manage course creation and update plans for new and existing offerings.
- Identify, recruit, and coordinate with qualified subject matter experts and instructors for course development.
- Review and evaluate courses to ensure consistency with program standards and community needs.
- Develop, implement, manage, and evaluate the quarterly Continuing Education class schedule in collaboration with the Director and approximately 100 instructors.
- Set up and maintain class schedules and sections in college databases, ensuring accuracy for web and print publication and student registration.
- Monitor enrollment trends and instructor availability; recommend class additions, cancellations, or instructor replacements based on data analysis.
- Coordinate textbook and supply information with instructors.
- Independently resolve operational issues involving classes, instructors, facilities, and students, escalating issues as appropriate.
- Assist the Director in recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and processing instructors for Continuing Education classes.
