Position: High-Performance Coach, Alpha - $150,000/year USD

You recognize that refusing to lower expectations is the most respectful thing you can offer a student. Your background includes competing, creating, or excelling at a level that most people only encounter in stories: elite-level athletics, graduation with distinction from a top‑tier institution, employment at a highly selective organization, or launching a venture from the ground up. Now imagine channeling that intensity into a setting with K‑12 students who have never encountered someone like you—someone willing to hold them to standards they didn't believe they could meet.

If the idea of maintaining elite standards feels too demanding, this isn’t the right fit.

Alpha leverages AI‑driven 1‑on‑1 learning to help students complete core academics in roughly two hours daily. The remainder of the day is dedicated to life skills, passion projects, and meaningful development. At Alpha’s most rigorous campuses, students require more than oversight. They need a credible mentor whose personal accomplishments define the benchmark: someone capable of reading dynamics, establishing expectations, and guiding them through obstacles, distractions, and uncertainty.

Teaching isn’t your responsibility. AI manages instructional delivery. Your responsibility is to inspire, coach, and apply the same exacting standards you’ve applied to yourself. Forty percent of your time is spent in direct 1‑on‑1 and small‑group coaching sessions that identify barriers, establish stretch goals, and ensure accountability. Another forty percent involves facilitating structured life‑skills workshops designed for mastery rather than engagement alone.

The final twenty percent is dedicated to morning kickoffs that create a culture where mediocrity has no place.

The trajectory here emphasizes depth over management scope. You begin by mastering Alpha’s methodology and earning student trust. Within months, you become the person they trust to push them beyond their perceived limits. The payoff isn’t a title change. It’s the continuity of working with the same students year after year, serving as their consistent advocate. It is witnessing a student who struggled with eye contact in September deliver a confident presentation to adults in May.

This position remains student‑centered. Students are the purpose, not a stepping stone toward another role. If your motivation to leave your current position is rooted in mission rather than resume‑building, you may be a fit.

What You Will Be Doing
  • Conducting 1‑on‑1 and small‑group coaching sessions leveraging Coachbot analytics and student performance data to identify obstacles, establish ambitious objectives, and ensure accountability for execution
  • Facilitating structured life‑skills workshops designed for mastery by drawing on credible narratives from your elite background, then evaluating mastery via Alpha’s Test2

    Pass framework
  • Establishing cultural expectations each morning through focused kickoff sessions that reinforce high‑performance standards campus‑wide
  • Monitoring student progress continuously and adapting coaching approaches based on evidence rather than intuition
  • Cultivating trusted mentorship relationships with students and families by maintaining high expectations, consistency, and documented motivation strategies
What You Won’t Be Doing
  • Delivering lessons, developing curriculum, or grading student work — Alpha’s AI‑powered academic platform manages instruction; you manage motivation
  • Addressing a classroom of 30 students (your focus is high‑touch coaching in intimate groups, not large‑format instruction)
  • Supervising other personnel or advancing through administrative pathways (this role centers on direct student outcomes, not organizational structure)
  • Attending faculty meetings or navigating institutional bureaucracy (your schedule remains concentrated on students)
  • Compromising standards to satisfy metrics (if a student achieves 99%, your role is to understand what prevented 100%)
