Job Description

Music Teacher covering 4th through 12th grade at Shoreline Christian School in Seattle, WA. Responsibilities include teaching Middle School and High School Choir and Orchestra, as well as 4th and 5th grade general music classes. The teacher will design and implement curriculum, assess student progress, and integrate faith into all aspects of teaching.

Salary starts at $50,000 and is DOE. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 403(b), life insurance, and PTO. The school emphasizes small class sizes for individualized instruction and a faith‑centered learning environment.

Minimum:

• Bachelor’s degree in education or a related field
• Professional work experience in a related field of study

Preferred:

• Bachelor’s degree in Secondary Music Education
• Valid Washington State teaching certificate or working toward one
• Knowledge of and/or experience with instruction of youth using sound research‑based instruction, best practices, and pedagogy
• Experience in teaching choral and instrumental music to all levels (both in age/grade and experience/proficiency)
• Knowledge of and application of educational technology
