Summer Activity Camp:
Art Camp Instructor

The Associated Recreation Council (ARC), in partnership with Seattle Parks & Recreation, is hiring an Art Camp Instructor. The instructor will program and deliver art & crafting classes to kids aged 7‑12. The camp focuses on hands‑on art projects to encourage creativity and self‑expression. The instructor must engage a diverse group of children and manage a classroom of students. A passion for arts and crafts is required.

  • July 20 – July 24, 8:45AM– 12:15PM
Job Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver developmentally appropriate lesson plans and activities to kids ages 7‑12.
  • Encourage creativity and participation among campers.
  • Maintain documentation on camp participants to ensure security and youth safety, including sign‑in sheets, medical needs, and parenting plans.
  • Use critical thinking to problem‑solve and manage conflict.
  • Generate supply lists for each camp; use available class supply funds.
  • Maintain a camp‑appropriate professional appearance.
  • Set up, take down, and clean the space daily.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Must be 18years of age or older.
  • Prior youth programming experience required.
  • Demonstrated working experience with families, community members, and partners to foster positive relationships.
