Description
Puget Sound Educational Service District seeks highly qualified Union Teachers to join our team of educators and work in strong collaborative partnership with the classroom teaching teams. Job duties include collaboration with the teaching teams, providing developmentally appropriate integrated curriculum that meets the needs of the classroom community.
ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with teaching teams to develop and implement a developmentally appropriate integrated curriculum that meets the needs of the classroom community.

- Teamwork – Works collaboratively with others to achieve shared goals and make decisions.
- Child growth and development – Demonstrates knowledge and expertise related to child/youth development and growth.
- Curriculum and instructional support – Demonstrates knowledge and expertise related to State and Federal learning standards and curriculum adaptation and implementation. Utilizes evidence‑based research regarding teaching strategies to advance practices that meet the needs of all students.
- Continuous learning and self‑development – Engages a growth mindset through learning and input from others, and takes responsibility to actively pursue self‑development.
- AA or higher in ECE, with experience teaching preschool‑age children; OR Current Washington State Teaching Certificate with endorsement in ECE (PreK‑grade
3) or Early Childhood Special Education; OR AA or higher degree in a related field with 20 credits in ECE and 9 months experience in preschool classroom. - Early childhood experience in a childcare center, child development center, or preschool program.
- AA or higher in a related field with infant/toddler coursework and 12 months experience with children 0‑5; OR a current Infant/Toddler CDA and 12 months experience working with children 0‑5; OR a current Preschool CDA credential from the Council for Professional Recognition with infant/toddler coursework and 12 months experience with children 0‑5 years; OR an ECE initial certificate with infant/toddler coursework and 12 months experience with children 0‑5.
- Early childhood experience in a childcare center, child development center, or preschool program.
- Early Head Start, Head Start, or other comprehensive child development/family support program experience.
- Experience working with children birth to 5 who are from diverse backgrounds.
- Early Head Start, Head Start, or other comprehensive child development/family support program experience.
- Experience working with children birth to 5 who are from diverse backgrounds.
- Medical, dental, and vision through the School Employees Benefits Board (SEBB) Program.
