Key Qualifications- Prior experience as a paraprofessional or instructional aide, preferably in a school environment
- Background working with special education (SPED) students
- Ability to build strong rapport with middle school-aged learners
- Skilled in collaborating with teachers and multidisciplinary teams
- Patient, flexible, and enthusiastic with excellent communication abilities
- Understanding of IEP goals and implementation is a plus
- Assist students with academic tasks, reinforcing lesson content under teacher direction
- Provide one-on-one or small group support for students in both general education and resource classrooms
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom climate for all learners
- Implement accommodations and modifications as outlined in student IEPs
- Assist with classroom management and monitoring student behaviors
- Collaborate closely with special education teachers and other staff to ensure student success
- Keep accurate records and log student progress as instructed
