Job Description

Do you bring out the star in your students? Taylor Robinson Music follows the philosophy “Learn to Play From the Heart” and seeks private music instructors who share this philosophy. Our goal is to make music lessons accessible and affordable to as many people as possible.

We are hiring private music instructors, especially for Guitar. We have no brick‑and‑mortar studio in Seattle, WA, but we have students needing teachers ASAP. Lessons can occur in the student’s home, your home or studio, or via webcam. Most students prefer in‑person lessons, so local instructors who can host students and/or are willing to travel within Seattle, WA are required.

You would be paid on an independent contractor basis between $20–$30 per hour depending on travel time, your experience/education, and your student retention rate. You have the freedom to set your own schedule and your own curriculum/lesson plans. We handle all advertising, marketing, SEO, and billing to help lighten your load so you can focus on music.

Responsibilities
  • Teach private guitar lessons to students of all ages.
  • Prepare lesson plans and curriculum.
  • Set your own lesson schedule.
  • Travel to students’ homes or meet in your studio.
  • Provide lessons via webcam as needed.
  • Maintain punctuality and clear communication with our office.
  • Adhere to COVID‑19 safety protocols: wear a mask, sanitize hands, and practice social distancing.
  • Retain students to influence pay on a contractor basis.
Qualifications
  • Great with kids, love teaching, and organized.
  • Must be in good communication and punctuality for all lessons.
  • Formal music training not mandatory but: a degree in music, enrollment in a music program, professional performing experience, or previous teaching experience is required.
Compensation

Contractor pay $20‑$30 per hour depending on travel time and student retention.
