JOB SUMMARY

Kennedy Catholic is seeking a dynamic, self-directed educator to teach a full-time combination of English/Language Arts classes within the English Department. Key responsibilities include instruction and curriculum development, assessment, classroom management and parent communication; collaboration with colleagues to ensure quality and consistency of overall program; willing participation in the co-curricular and ministerial life of the school; mentorship for student engagement; and fulfillment of all additional supervision duties expected of full-time teachers.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

• Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data, applicant's skills and prior relevant experience, degrees, and certifications. Salary is dependent upon experience, certification, and education according to Kennedy Catholic's faculty compensation schedule. For the  school year, a teacher's salary ranges between $59,320 and $112,590.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in the specific content area (ex. English, Communications)

• WA State Teaching Certificate or the ability to obtain one

• Master's degree preferred

• Familiarity with educational technology

• Recent classroom experience, preferably in a high school setting
