Part‑Time Lecturer - Doctor of Law and Policy (Seattle)
About the OpportunityPart‑time teaching role for 12‑week (Fall, Winter, Spring) or 8‑week (Summer) hybrid courses each academic year. Courses taught online with one weekend session each quarter at our Seattle campus. Responsibilities include pre‑term course development (readings, assignments, multi‑media lectures), monitoring online discussion boards, course management, grading, and face‑to‑face participation.
Responsibilities- Develop and teach courses in law and legal reasoning, law and policy, public policy theory and practice, research methods, qualitative methods, quantitative methods, and evaluation research.
- Meet weekly online and conduct one weekend (Fri‑Sun) session per quarter at Seattle campus.
- Handle online discussion boards, general course management, grading, online presence, and monthly on‑site sessions.
- Receive training in Blackboard.
- Ph.D. or JD in a relevant social‑science discipline; a JD/LLM in addition to a Ph.D. is preferred.
- History of successful teaching at the graduate level and experience teaching online.
- Familiarity with doctoral‑level research, adult learners, and action‑oriented research.
Reports to the Associate Dean of Graduate Programs.
