POSITION SUMMARY The Secondary Substitute Teacher is responsible for organization, teaching and supervision within the area of their responsibility. Maintain professional standards within the teaching assignment and always ensure the health and safety of the students.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (General overview and may include all details of responsibilities)

• Maintain professional standards within the teaching assignment; carry out the classroom teacher's lesson plans to the best of ability; always ensure the health and safety of the children.
• Fulfill after school carpool duties as assigned.
• Leave classroom in neat condition, student daily work corrected, and summary notes for the classroom teacher.
• Relate any areas of question or concern to the Assistant Principal or Principal.
• Work collaboratively with supervisors, coworkers, students and their families.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
