Position SummaryThe Educational Technology Instructional Coach reports to Director of IT and collaborates closely with Division Directors & Director of Student Success. This is a 10.5 month, part-time (0.25 FTE) hourly position.
Essential Duties- Serve as a member of School's instructional coaching team, identifying trends in faculty needs and supporting skill building both proactively and reactively.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies that impact teaching and learning, including adaptive technologies.
- Design and produce varied, short technical trainings for faculty, both online and in person. Oversee organization, accessibility, and currency of trainings.
- Aid faculty in determining how best to integrate technology tools into their curriculum, including collaborating on overall curriculum and specific projects or lessons.
- Collaborate with faculty to evaluate and implement academic technologies and provide formal and informal technology professional development to faculty.
- Collaborate with IT, curricular leadership, and fellow coaches in addressing issues raised by faculty about technical needs.
- Create and deliver technology orientation to new faculty and incoming students.
- Train teachers in setting up and maintaining LMS pages, updating curriculum, and integrating technology in their projects and activities. Refer trouble tickets to IT as necessary. As time allows, collaborate on end-user training resulting from technical adjustments or identified need for user education.
- Bachelor's or advanced degree in education or related field.
- Significant experience teaching or coaching technology use skills.
- Prior experience teaching middle and/or upper school ages.
- Ability to listen to peer concerns, identify root causes, and generate solutions. Approachable and enthusiastic about collaboration and problem solving.
- Strong written, visual, and oral communication, especially in making complex technical issues clear to non-technical users.
- Fluency with digital learning platforms and their use in an educational setting, including Canvas.
Compensation
The salary range is $33.70 to $38.50 per hour based on education and years of experience. This is a 0.25 FTE non-benefits-eligible hourly position.
