Our Lady of the Lake Catholic School seeks a caring, energetic, and collaborative Intermediate Instructional Aide to support students in our second and third grade classrooms. The Instructional Aide partners closely with classroom teachers to foster a joyful, inclusive, and academically engaging learning environment where every student is seen, celebrated, and supported.

• Work with individuals and small groups under the direction of the classroom teacher.
• Reinforce literacy, writing, and mathematics instruction.
• Support differentiated instruction for students with a wide range of learning needs.
• Assist students in building independence, confidence, and executive functioning skills.
• Encourage positive peer relationships and respectful classroom interactions.
• Provide appropriate academic and behavioral support while maintaining student dignity.

• Prepare instructional materials and classroom resources.
• Assist with classroom organization and daily routines.
• Help maintain an organized, welcoming, and engaging classroom environment.
• Support transitions throughout the school day.
• Supervise students during classroom activities and other assigned duties.
• Collaborate closely with classroom teachers, specialists, and student support staff.
• Communicate observations regarding student progress and behavior.
• Participate in team meetings and professional learning opportunities as appropriate.
• Support implementation of classroom behavior expectations and school-wide practices.

• Model Christian values through kindness, compassion, integrity, and respect.
• Support the Catholic identity and mission of the school.
• Participate in school liturgies, prayer, and community events as appropriate.
• Foster an environment where every child feels welcomed and valued.

Required:

• Experience working with elementary-aged children in an educational, childcare, or youth development setting.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Positive, patient, and collaborative approach to working with children.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.

  Preferred:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
  • Experience supporting literacy and mathematics instruction.

    Physical Requirements
    • Ability to move throughout classrooms and campus.
    • Ability to lift classroom materials up to 25 pounds.
    • Ability to supervise students indoors and outdoors.
    • Ability to sit, stand, kneel, and move frequently throughout the day.
    • $20/hour to $30/hour
    • Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data, applicant's skills and prior relevant experience, degrees, and certifications.
