EET Applied Math Adjunct Part Time Faculty

Overview

North Seattle College is seeking a dynamic and student-centered adjunct faculty member to teach EET 109:
Mathematical Applications for Circuit Analysis, with an anticipated start date of Fall 2026. This position supports foundational Electronics Engineering Technology pathways by preparing students with the applied mathematical skills required for success in DC and AC electronics coursework. Instruction emphasizes engineering and scientific notation, algebraic problem solving, trigonometry, vectors, complex numbers, graph interpretation, and quantitative reasoning as applied to electronic circuit analysis, waveform interpretation, and troubleshooting.

North’s Electronics Department prepares students for employment in a variety of industries, including advanced manufacturing, aerospace, healthcare technology management, facilities, logistics, communications, utilities, biomedical equipment technology, and industrial automation. EET 109 serves as a foundational applied mathematics course supporting student success in DC and AC electronics coursework, particularly in areas involving circuit analysis, waveform interpretation, trigonometry, vectors, phasors, complex numbers, and quantitative problem solving.

This position reports to the Dean of Workforce Instruction and is governed by the Collective Bargaining Agreement between The American Federation of Teachers (Seattle Community Colleges Local 1789) and Seattle Colleges District VI.

This is a part-time adjunct faculty position. Compensation is based on the current Seattle Colleges Adjunct Faculty Salary Schedule in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement. Courses are assigned on a quarterly basis according to program needs, available funding, enrollment, and faculty workload provisions. Position open until filled.

The salary range for part-time faculty is (generally P1: A1- E7): $7,703 - $11,537.33 (for a 5-credit single-class workload per quarter). Target start rate of pay is $7,703 - $8,912 (for a 5-credit single-class workload per quarter) A1-C3
