Overview

North Seattle College is seeking a dynamic and student-centered adjunct faculty member to teach EET 109:
Mathematical Applications for Circuit Analysis, with an anticipated start date of Fall 2026. This position supports foundational Electronics Engineering Technology pathways by preparing students with the applied mathematical skills required for success in DC and AC electronics coursework. Instruction emphasizes engineering and scientific notation, algebraic problem solving, trigonometry, vectors, complex numbers, graph interpretation, and quantitative reasoning as applied to electronic circuit analysis, waveform interpretation, and troubleshooting.

The Electronics Department prepares students for employment in a variety of industries including advanced manufacturing, aerospace, healthcare technology management, facilities, logistics, communications, utilities, biomedical equipment technology, and industrial automation. EET 109 serves as a foundational applied mathematics course supporting student success in DC and AC electronics coursework.

This is a part-time adjunct faculty position. Compensation is based on the current Seattle Colleges Adjunct Faculty Salary Schedule in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement. Courses are assigned on a quarterly basis according to program needs, available funding, enrollment, and faculty workload provisions. Position open until filled. The salary range for part-time faculty is generally P1: A1- E7: $7,703 – $11,537.33 per 5‑credit single‑class workload per quarter.

Target start rate of pay is $7,703 – $8,912 per 5‑credit single‑class workload per quarter (A1‑C3).

Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a regular basis. The employer will not sponsor work visas. • Prepare and teach assigned EET 109 courses in accordance with approved course outcomes and departmental expectations using instructional strategies that support student learning and engagement. Courses are delivered fully on campus and may be scheduled during daytime or evening hours.
• Provide instruction in mathematical applications for circuit analysis and electronics technology, including algebraic manipulation, engineering and scientific notation, trigonometry, vectors, complex numbers, graph interpretation, and quantitative problem‑solving methods relevant to DC and AC electronics coursework.
• Maintain accurate instructional records and fulfill instructional responsibilities associated with assigned courses, including syllabus preparation, timely grading and feedback, student communication, attendance or participation reporting, and submission of required college records.
