Job Description & How to Apply Below
Position: Elite Sports Mentor, Alpha - $150,000/year USD

You recognize that the most supportive thing you can offer a student is to maintain rigorous standards. Your background includes competition, achievement, or success at a level few ever experience firsthand: elite-level athletics, graduation with honors from a top university, employment at a highly competitive firm, or launching a venture from the ground up. Now imagine channeling that drive into a setting where K‑12 students gain access to someone like you—someone committed to holding them to benchmarks they never imagined reaching.

If the idea of enforcing elite expectations feels too demanding, this isn't the right fit.

Alpha leverages AI-driven 1‑on‑1 instruction to help students complete core academics in roughly two hours daily. The time saved opens the door to life skills, self-directed projects, and meaningful personal development. At Alpha's most rigorous campuses, students require more than oversight. They need a credible mentor whose personal accomplishments serve as proof of what's possible: someone capable of understanding group dynamics, establishing expectations, and guiding them through friction, distractions, and internal doubt.

Your role is not to deliver lessons. AI manages the academic instruction. Your responsibility is to inspire, guide, and uphold the same exacting standards you've applied to yourself. Forty percent of your time involves direct 1‑on‑1 and small‑group sessions that identify obstacles and define ambitious targets. Another forty percent is dedicated to facilitating structured life‑skills workshops designed for competency, not engagement.

The final twenty percent is spent conducting focused morning sessions that cultivate a culture where average is unacceptable.

The trajectory here emphasizes depth over advancement. You begin by mastering Alpha's methodology and earning student trust. Within a few months, you become the person they rely on to push them beyond self‑imposed limits. The payoff isn't a title change. It's continuity: the same students, year over year, maturing with your guidance. It's seeing a student who avoided eye contact in September deliver a polished presentation to adults in May.

This position remains centered on students. They are the purpose, not a means to career progression. If your motivation to leave your current role is the work itself, not resume enhancement.

What You Will Be Doing
  • Conducting 1‑on‑1 and small‑group sessions using Coachbot analytics and student data to identify barriers, establish challenging objectives, and ensure accountability for execution
  • Facilitating structured life‑skills workshops designed for competency development using authentic examples from your elite background, then verifying mastery via Alpha's Test2

    Pass framework
  • Establishing the performance culture each morning through purposeful kickoffs that communicate high‑achievement expectations campus‑wide
  • Monitoring student development continuously and modifying coaching approaches based on evidence, not assumptions
  • Cultivating trusted relationships with students and families through rigorous standards, reliable follow‑through, and formal motivation planning
What You Won’t Be Doing
  • Delivering lessons, creating curriculum, or evaluating assignments — Alpha's AI‑based academic system manages instruction; your focus is on motivation
  • Presenting to a full classroom of 30 students (your work centers on intensive coaching with individuals and small groups, not large‑group instruction)
  • Supervising other personnel or pursuing administrative advancement (this role prioritizes direct student outcomes, not organizational structure)
  • Attending faculty meetings or dealing with institutional red tape (your schedule remains student‑centered)
  • Compromising standards to meet targets (if a student achieves 99%, your task is to identify what prevented 100%)
