Make an impact in the field of education by providing essential occupational therapy services to K-12 students during the  school year. This contract opportunity is ideal for OTs who are passionate about supporting students' development and eager to collaborate with educational teams in a dynamic school setting. Based near Seattle, WA, this onsite role entails working closely with students, teachers, and families to help ensure every child can thrive in their learning environment.

Key

qualifications and requirements:
  • Current Occupational Therapist (OT) license and certification for Washington State
  • Completion of OSPI fingerprinting requirements prior to start
  • Proven experience or familiarity with K-12 educational settings preferred
  • Ability to manage a caseload of up to 30 students, offering targeted interventions and monitoring progress
  • Strong communication skills and collaborative approach with multidisciplinary school staff
  • Commitment to onsite service delivery throughout the school year
Responsibilities include:
  • Conducting evaluations to determine students' needs and eligibility for services
  • Developing and implementing individualized therapy plans for students from kindergarten through 12th grade
  • Maintaining detailed documentation and progress reports in compliance with state and district guidelines
  • Consulting with teachers, aides, and caregivers to integrate therapy strategies into the classroom and home settings
  • Attending IEP meetings and collaborating as part of the broader student support team
  • Providing education and support to staff and families regarding occupational therapy and student needs

In this role, you will work 37.5 hours per week on school sites, immersing yourself fully in the educational environment and fostering meaningful connections with students across all grade levels.
