**** Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) | Seattle WA | 2026–2027 School Year
** Ampersand Therapy is hiring an itinerant Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) for the 2026–2027 school year in the Seattle WA area. We are a women- and therapist-founded company committed to creating a supportive employment experience for school-based professionals. Up to 40 hours per week

August 27, 2026–June 19, 2027
* Grade Levels:
All grade levels

Responsibilities:
* Provide specialized instruction to students who are blind or visually impaired
* Assess students’ functional vision and learning-media needs
* Support instruction in the Expanded Core Curriculum
* Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs
* Adapt instructional materials and recommend appropriate assistive technology
* Collaborate with teachers, families, related service providers, and school teams
* Track student progress and maintain accurate documentation
* Travel between assigned school sites as needed

Qualifications:

* Valid state teaching credential with an endorsement in visual impairments
* Bachelor’s or master’s degree in special education, visual impairments, or a related field
* Experience working with school-aged students preferred
* Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
