** Position
Description:
**** Leadership and Strategic Direction (40%)
*** Provide strategic leadership for the Center for Jesuit Education, aligning goals with institutional and Mission Integration priorities, including commitments articulated in the Mission Priority Examen.
* Serve as a member of the Mission Integration leadership team.
* Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of Seattle University’s formation ecosystem using the Mission Developmental Model (Encounter → Engage → Embody → Empower) to support student leadership development and employee growth over time.
* Oversee, maintain, and refine signature formation programs including, but not limited to, the Arrupe Seminar, Colleagues in Jesuit Education, the Magis Mission Series, and Mission Formation contributions to New Faculty Institute and New Staff Jesuit Mission Orientation.
* Supervise and support the Mission Formation team (Associate Director for Faculty Engagement; Associate Director for Mission Formation; Assistant Director for Faith and Justice), cultivating a collaborative, inclusive, and mission-centered culture.
* Steward the department budget and resources in alignment with divisional and institutional priorities; manage grants, gifts, and Endowed Mission Fund distributions in collaboration with appropriate committees.
* Promote Ignatian-inspired pedagogy, discernment, reflection practices, and Ignatian leadership frameworks across academic and administrative contexts.
* Ensure mission formation initiatives support institutional commitments to inclusive excellence, intercultural understanding, and justice.
* Advance Faith and Justice as a strategic pillar of Seattle University’s mission through coordinated programming, partnerships, and formation pathways.
** Partnership and Collaboration (20%)
*** Build and sustain collaborative partnerships with key campus units serving faculty, staff, and students (e.g., Office of the President, Office of Diversity and Inclusion, University Ministry, Arrupe Jesuit Community, Center for Faculty Development, CEIE, ICTC, Indigenous Peoples Institute, Center for Community Engagement, Center for Digital Learning & Innovation).
