Ampersand Therapy is hiring an itinerant Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) for the 2026–2027 school year in the Seattle WA area. • Dates:
  August 27, 2026–June 19, 2027
• Grade Levels:
  All grade levels

• Provide specialized instruction to students who are blind or visually impaired
• Assess students' functional vision and learning-media needs
• Support instruction in the Expanded Core Curriculum
• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs
• Adapt instructional materials and recommend appropriate assistive technology
• Collaborate with teachers, families, related service providers, and school teams
• Track student progress and maintain accurate documentation
• Travel between assigned school sites as needed

• Valid state teaching credential with an endorsement in visual impairments
• Bachelor's or master's degree in special education, visual impairments, or a related field
• Experience working with school-aged students preferred
• Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
