We seek a full time Health Teacher
- Long Term Substitute for the academic year with the background and experience to teach a comprehensive health curriculum. Candidates should have 3-5 years teaching experience. A Masters' degree is preferred.

• Knowledge of Health Education standards;
• Understanding of adolescent development 6th-12th grade;
• Ability to facilitate challenging, values-based and age appropriate discussions on various health topics such as reproductive health and sexuality, substance abuse, etc.;
• Knowledge of social and emotional learning programs;
• A growth mindset with a passion for your subject matter and an engaging learning environment;
• Compassion, patience, sense of humor, contextual emotional intelligence;
• Strong organizational and communication abilities;
• Agility, influence, negotiation, and strong judgment & decision-making skills;
• Ability to build relationships with multiple constituent groups - teachers, parents, students, and administrative teams;
• Experience with addressing student behavior; and
• Creative and imaginative problem-solver.

SAAS offers an annual salary range of $73,500 - $90,500, depending on experience, for the long-term sub role, and an excellent benefit package following 90 days of employment.
