Teacher Aide - Hourly
Assumption-St. Bridget School is seeking a full-time instructional aide for a primary grade classroom. We are looking for an aide with strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. This is a full time position, 8 AM-4 PM Monday-Friday. The hourly rate starts at $26/hr any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data, applicant's skills and prior relevant experience, degrees, and certifications.

All classroom aides primary role is to work directly with students in whole group, small group, or one-on-one instruction. Aides work under the direction of the lead classroom licensed educator, and under the supervision of the principal.
Major Responsibilities (including but not limited to, under teacher direction and principal supervision):
- Working with students – whole class, small group, one-to-one support
- Carrying out ARA benchmark assessments and data entry with team of IAs, under direction of Learning Specialist
- Participates in all related professional development
- Clerical tasks
- Correcting of work
- Inputting into Student Information System (SIS) for attendance, grading and assignments
- taking kids to and from specialist classes
- recess duty
- car loop duty
- coordinating and participating in field trips
- managing online sign-ups for parent volunteers
- assisting with online communication to parents overseen by lead teacher
- helping with physical environment of the classroom, i.e. bulletin boards, set up and break down
Hours:
8:00-4:00 Monday-Friday on student contact days
Principal preapproval needed for hours worked outside of this time frame.
40 hours/week
