Substitute Teachers Pool - As Needed

Lakeside School is an independent 5-12 coeducational day school located in North Seattle and is currently hiring
Substitute Teachers to teach in-person classes in all subject areas. Substitutes will share their availability and can also check periodically online for open positions. When an absence has been entered in the system, substitutes will be automatically called, based on the information they've provided, to cover teaching responsibilities. Substitute opportunities range from one to several days in a given classroom throughout the school year.

Please note that we have separate applications for long-term substitute positions.

Substitute teachers are used to cover classes on an as needed basis. Class syllabus and teaching materials will be created and support from the department will be provided as needed.

• Classroom instruction.
• Adhere to the teacher's lesson plans.
• Ensure the safety of students while in the classroom.

• Bachelor's Degree.
• Experience teaching middle school students and/or high school students.
• Computer literate on a PC platform.
• Experience teaching in a hybrid or online environment is preferred.
• Candidates must satisfactorily complete at least twocomprehensive background checks.

• Upper School single class (up to 4 classes in one day): $70
• Middle School single class (up to 4 classes in one day): $50
• MS/US Additional class (5th+ in one day): $30
• Study hall (per hour): $25
• Long-term full-time assignments (15 days to 6 weeks) (per day in the same assignment, retroactive to the first day): $205 per day
