Deaf and Hard of Hearing Specialist Pay Range:$55-65/hour
Job Description:
Deaf and Hard of Hearing Specialist | Seattle WA | 2026–2027 School Year Ampersand Therapy is hiring an itinerant Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) Specialist for the 2026–2027 school year in the Seattle WA area. We are a women- and therapist-founded company that values collaboration, professional support, and meaningful work with students and school communities.

In-person and school-based
Schedule:
Full time, approximately 8:00 AM–3:30 PMMaximum
Hours:
Up to 40 hours per week Dates:
August 27, 2026–June 19, 2027
Grade Levels:
All grade levels
Responsibilities:
Provide specialized instruction and support to students who are deaf or hard of hearing
Assess students’ communication, language, academic, and accessibility needs
Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs Adapt curriculum and classroom materials to support student access
Consult with general education teachers and school teams regarding accommodations
Support the use of hearing technology, assistive devices, and communication systems
Collaborate with families, interpreters, audiologists, and related service providers
Maintain accurate progress notes, service records, and educational documentation
Travel between assigned school sites as needed
Qualifications:
Valid state teaching credential with a Deaf and Hard of Hearing endorsement
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in deaf education, special education, or a related field
Experience supporting students across multiple grade levels preferred
Strong collaboration, communication, and organizational skills
Ability to travel between school sites
