Weekday afternoons 9/30-12/11

Pay: $55 hourly

What You’ll Do
  • Teach small-group after-school strings classes (violin, viola, cello)
  • Deliver structured, age-appropriate music lessons
  • Teach fundamentals: posture, tone, rhythm, and ensemble skills
  • Create a positive and well-managed classroom environment
  • Track attendance and basic student progress
  • Prepare students for an end-of-class “informance”

Required Qualifications

  • Ability to pass background check
Preferred Qualifications
  • Music degree or current music student
  • School, youth orchestra, or camp teaching experience
  • Suzuki or strings pedagogy training
  • Multi-instrument strings ability
  • Teaching credential (not required)
Schedule & Session Structure
  • Classes run in 10-week sessions
  • Typical teaching window: 2:30–5:30 pm
  • Teach 1–5 days per week based on availability
  • Opportunities for additional summer camp teaching
