Education Employment Specialist

The Education Employment Specialist plays a critical role supporting Juvenile Court's guiding principles to be Youth and Family Centered, engage Community Partnerships, and pursue Balanced and Restorative Justice. Based in the Community Programs Unit, this position provides Job Readiness Training, employment and vocational placement services, as well as education support, for juvenile offenders in the Education Employment Training (EET) program.

Responsibilities of the position require the employee to work collaboratively with juvenile probation counselors, court staff and other community and business partners in the coordination of educational and employment preparation, and placement services. The Education Employment Specialist may work in collaboration with community partners in grant-funded projects.

Clark Children and Family Justice Center, 1211 East Alder Avenue, Seattle, WA. The incumbent may be required to work at other facilities as assigned. This position is hourly (overtime eligible) and subject to the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act.

This is a full-time, benefit-eligible position working a 40-hour workweek. The workweek for this position is normally Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
