Special Education Para educator
The primary purpose of the special education para educator is to support learning for identified special education students under the direction of a certificated staff member. Responsibilities vary with individual assignment, but typically include working with students one-on-one or in small groups, implementing behavior management systems, recording student progress data, assisting students with personal hygiene, correcting assignments, administering tests, performing clerical duties, and managing resources.
Para educator minimum qualifications:
To be eligible for employment, candidates must upload to their application: a copy of their high school diploma and documentation of one of the following: a copy of an official college transcript indicating an AA degree or higher or 72 quarter or 48 semester credits earned in 100 level and higher courses or official documentation of a passing score on the ETS Para Pro assessment.
