Role Description Teachers / Tutors at SMART Learning Center LLC will provide instructional support to students of varying ages and backgrounds through both in-person and online sessions. In this part-time hybrid role based in Seattle, WA, team members will deliver lessons at the center and remotely from home as needed. Day-to-day responsibilities include planning and delivering engaging lessons, providing individualized academic support, tracking learner progress, and offering constructive feedback to help students reach their educational and certification goals.

Teachers / Tutors will collaborate with colleagues to refine instructional materials, leverage digital tools and platforms for remote learning, and maintain clear communication with students and, when applicable, families or caregivers. The role also involves upholding the center’s standards for professionalism, inclusivity, and learner-centered instruction across all subject areas and certification programs.

Qualifications

• Strong Teaching and Education skills, with experience supporting diverse learners and adapting instruction to different levels.
• Ability to design effective Lesson Planning and Training activities that align with curriculum and certification requirements.
• Excellent Communication skills, including clear verbal and written communication in instructional and support settings.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Education, Instructional Design, or a related field; advanced degrees are valued.
• Experience tutoring or teaching in academic or professional training environments, preferably in hybrid or online formats.
• Comfort with using learning technologies, online platforms, and digital resources to deliver and support instruction.
• Demonstrated commitment to equity, inclusion, and non-discriminatory practices in teaching and working with learners.
• Ability to work independently, manage part-time schedules, and maintain organized records of student progress and outcomes.
