Family Ways Training Coordinator

The Family Ways Training Coordinator will work in a collaborative team environment to manage the training and model implementation components of Family Ways. The team includes Peer Community Specialists, a Public Health Nurse, two Nutritionists, a Social Worker, a Quality Improvement Lead and Administrative Support staff. This role will be charged with training, coaching, and maintaining model fidelity for the new Family Ways Program.

The Training Coordinator will report to and work collaboratively with the Family Ways Co-Leads.

This recruitment will be used to create an eligibility pool to fill additional Career Service, Term-Limited Temporary (TLT), or Special Duty Assignment (SDA) vacancies that may occur over the next six months.

• Lead design of educational programs and training for Family Ways staff, participants, community groups and other professionals in alignment with the program's core components.
• Monitor program training and educational needs and create, implement, and evaluate broad-based solutions/programs including managing timelines and reporting efforts.
• Develop tools and process for ongoing coaching, training, professional development as well as regular feedback.
• Create and promote culturally appropriate educational materials and information
• Lead continuous quality improvement activities in alignment with program goals/objectives.
• Analyze program data to support access to services and referrals and align internal training, processes, and tools to desired outcomes.
• Prepare Family Ways staff to utilize participant-centered, strengths-based practices.
• Responsible for discussing difficult topics and presenting new materials to program staff such as information fact sheets on common health concerns, developmental milestones, pregnancy and postpartum care, etc.
• Develop and maintain community engagement, expanding partnerships and program participation.
• Arrange for culturally relevant and linguistically appropriate presentations for specific audiences.
• Build relationships with other King County programs and community-based organizations to advance racial equity and social justice. This may include development of racial equity/anti-racism trainings or curriculum.
• Create, maintain, and update a library of training and reference materials.
• Collaborate and share decision making with team members, fostering and creating space for authentic and respectful dialogue.
• Respond to calls, emails, or requests in a timely manner.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required:

• Two (2) years with a proven track record in designing and developing high-impact educational content in response to program needs.
• Demonstrated expertise in education and behavior-change programs, training and assessment methods.
• Demonstrated experience advancing racial equity and social just principles linked to social service work.
