Position Summary

North Seattle College is looking to hire a Full-Time Tenure Track Physics Faculty in the Department of Math and Science.

Salary Range for this position is $88,805 to $105,173 annually. Opportunity is open until filled; first review of materials will begin September 24, 2026.

The Math & Sciences Division of North Seattle Colleges is seeking a full-time, tenure-track physics faculty, to start in Winter, Spring, or Fall quarter of 2027. Primary teaching responsibilities include the full series of General (algebra-based), Physics and Engineering (calculus-based) Physics. Class times and modalities vary and may include days, evenings, and weekends according to program needs. All full-time faculty should be available to teach hybrid and in-person classes, as needed.

Please note that the Seattle Colleges District does not sponsor work visas and does not reimburse relocation expenses incurred by new hires.

  • Instructing assigned courses that span the entire range of those in the two-year college physics curriculum (with options to teach courses in related fields), including both lecture and lab, in a manner that promotes student engagement and success for a diverse student population;
  • Creatively designing inclusive learning experiences (in various modalities for both lecture and lab) that extend beyond delivering content to assist students in achieving course, program, and degree outcomes;
