Precision Garage Door Service (PGD) is seeking a forward-thinking Learning & Development Manager to build our training programs from the ground up. You’ll be the architect of a scalable training framework that equips our workforce with the technical skills, sales expertise, and safety knowledge they need to excel in the field. Additionally, you’ll own building a lasting and scalable program to develop our branch management into next-gen leaders.

- Creates and produces training content, from idea phase to execution
- Recommends and implements appropriate learning delivery modalities (e.g., classroom- virtual/ in-person, on demand, blended learning, etc.) to both facilitate and measure these approaches.
- Facilitates instructor-led trainings and train-the-trainer sessions.
- Partner with leadership, HRBP’s, field trainers and other counterparts to adopt best practices and tailor programs for our workforce.
- Develop engaging training materials including manuals, e-learning, hands-on workshops, videos, and assessments.
- Obsess over the new employee experience by implementing a consistent onboarding program that blends classroom instruction, field shadowing, and technology-enabled learning.
- Establish training metrics and reporting dashboards to track effectiveness, technician readiness, and program ROI.
- Continuously refine programs based on feedback, performance data, and evolving business needs.
- Stay current on learning trends, instructional design methods, and industry-specific certifications or compliance requirements.
- 7+ years of progressive experience in Learning & Development, Training, or Instructional Design (field service or skilled trades industry a plus).
- Proven success designing and implementing training programs that improved performance or reduced time to competency.
- Strong understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design models, and blended learning methods.
- Comfort with training technology (LMS platforms, video tools, mobile learning apps).
- Ability to analyze data and translate it into actionable program improvements.
- Strong presentation and facilitation skills; comfortable in front of small and large audiences
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Human Resources, Organizational Development, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Ability to travel across West Coast up to 30% of the time
