Training Manager

Location: Remote

Schedule: Full time (40 hours/week), must be available to work fully in India Standard Time (IST)

Contract: 1-month contract with strong potential for long-term extension

At Uptime Crew, the role of Training Manager is a bridge between recruiting and training teams. The Training Manager is an integral partner in the Training Organization by implementing and executing training activities; and building employee expertise while ensuring they have great experience during their selection process and training.

Training & Facilitation

• Deliver instructor-led training (virtual or in-person) on Dev Ops tools.

• Lead hands-on labs, demos, and workshops that reinforce real-world best practices.

• Clearly explain containerization concepts to learners at various skill levels.

Curriculum Development

• Create training materials including slide decks, lab guides, assessments, and reference documentation.

• Continuously update content based on evolving container ecosystem standards and platform updates.

• Design beginner-to-advanced learning paths for developers, Dev Ops engineers, and platform teams.

Learner Support & Assessment

• Provide guidance, troubleshooting support, and coaching before, during, and after training sessions.

• Evaluate learner performance and offer constructive feedback.

• Gather participant insights and improve course structure based on feedback.

Collaboration & Organizational Enablement

• Partner with engineering, cloud, and Dev Ops teams to identify skill gaps and training requirements.

• Contribute to internal enablement initiatives such as onboarding, knowledge-sharing sessions, and internal certification programs.

• Recommend tools and resources to strengthen Dev Ops maturity across the organization.

Required Qualifications

• Practical experience with at least one cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

• Prior experience in teaching, mentoring, technical training, or leading workshops.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience delivering enterprise training or building formal curriculums.

• Familiarity with Git Ops, service meshes (Istio, Linkerd), and cloud-native observability tools.

Soft Skills

• Excellent communication and presentation abilities.

• Strong facilitation and classroom management skills.

• Ability to break down complex concepts for diverse learning audiences.
