Summary
Meta seeks an experienced attorney to join our Energy team as Associate General Counsel. You’ll work closely with Meta’s Energy Team members dispersed across the United States. The position is an in‑office role. As Meta’s third energy lawyer, you’ll play a crucial role in securing energy for our new and existing data centers and work on energy and carbon transactions to help Meta achieve its net‑zero emissions commitment.
Responsibilities- Demonstrated drafting and negotiating skills.
- Solid business judgment and experience thinking strategically.
- Demonstrated experience prioritizing and managing multiple projects under tight deadlines.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills, with a commitment to professionalism, collaboration and collegiality.
- Experience structuring, drafting and negotiating a wide range of energy and carbon transactions, including sleeved green energy supply arrangements, industrial energy consumer tariffs, PPAs, environmental attribute purchase agreements, sleeved PPAs and energy storage agreements.
- Experience monitoring or participating in rate making and resource planning proceedings before public utilities commissions.
- Experience working at or with a technology company.
- Familiarity with various regulatory regimes that affect energy and commodities transactions.
