Job Overview
At Russ electric, a Siemens business, we design and build custom power control systems for critical facilities such as data centers, telecommunications, and healthcare. Founded in 1955, we are the world’s leading manufacturer of automatic transfer switches and power control systems.
Responsibilities- Provide on‑call service 24/7 and travel up to 80% of the time.
- Support automatic transfer switch startups, modifications, warranty and emergency calls.
- Perform technical support for field startups (standard and non‑standard), remedial repairs, and preventive maintenance contracts.
- Supervise and enforce safety policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Communicate with clients in a customer‑service oriented manner and negotiate additional charges as needed.
- Ensure all work complies with regulatory laws.
- Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in electrical engineering (preferred).
- High School Diploma or GED; 5+ years of experience in electrical power, low and medium voltage switch gear for critical power facilities.
- Experience with most types of automatic transfer switch testing.
- Proficient in reading schematics, blueprints, and power control automation.
- Knowledge of applicable codes and industry standards.
- Strong project‑management skills and ability to stay within budget and schedule.
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
- Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
- Self‑directed, customer‑focused, and committed to safety.
- PLC programming and practical troubleshooting skills (preferred).
Base pay range: $77,910 – $133,560 per year, plus travel and overtime. Actual wages may vary based on budget, experience, and geographic location.
