Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Field Service Engineer to support critical power facilities based out of Seattle, WA. The role requires a qualified, hands‑on, service‑oriented technician involved with automatic transfer switch startups, modifications, warranty and emergency calls. Applicants should have a desire to learn and advance to the Field Service Engineer level.
Responsibilities- Carry a cell phone and be on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
- Focus on work related to automatic transfer switches.
- Provide technical support of field startups (standard and non‑standard systems), warranty efforts, remedial repairs, and preventative maintenance contracts.
- Supervise and ensure compliance with all safety policies, procedures, guidelines and laws.
- Conduct client communication in a highly customer‑service‑oriented manner and negotiate any extra charges associated with work performed.
- Make all work and decisions in strict compliance with all regulatory laws.
- Travel requirements: up to 80% travel.
Basic Qualifications
- High School Diploma / GED.
- 5+ years experience with field service engineering.
- Experience in electrical power, including low voltage through medium voltage switch gear in support of critical power facilities (e.g., data centers, airports).
- Experience with most types of automatic transfer switch testing.
- Ability to read schematics and blueprints for power control, automation, and customer technical support.
- Familiarity with all applicable codes and industry standards.
- Proficient in client interactions and completing projects on time and within budget guidelines.
- Strong project management skills with excellent decision‑making, organization, and management capabilities.
- Self‑directed and committed to customer satisfaction.
- Valid driver’s license in good standing.
- Authorized to work in the US for any employer without sponsorship now or in the future.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
- Excellent customer service, time management, and follow‑up skills.
- PLC programming.
- Knowledge of power distribution, DC/AC, voltage circuit theory, and practical troubleshooting skills.

- Pay range: $77,910 - $133,560, plus travel and overtime. The actual wage offered may vary based on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and geographic location.
