At A WorkSAFE Service, we help employers throughout Washington maintain safe, drug-free workplaces through professional drug and alcohol testing services. Our team travels directly to client locations, providing mobile testing services at construction sites, transportation facilities, manufacturing plants, marine terminals, and other workplaces across the state.

We're looking for a dependable, self-motivated Mobile Safety & Compliance Specialist who enjoys working independently, traveling throughout Washington, and providing exceptional service to our clients.

You do not need prior drug testing, compliance, medical, or occupational health experience to be successful in this role.

As a Mobile Safety & Compliance Specialist, you'll travel to client locations throughout Washington conducting workplace drug and alcohol testing. Your office may be a company vehicle, a jobsite, a ferry terminal, or a client facility - every day is different.

This position averages approximately 30 hours of scheduled work per week, though workloads vary throughout the month based on client demand. Some weeks may be lighter, while others may approach a traditional 40-hour workweek. Employees are paid a full-time salary and receive a comprehensive benefits package.

Travel is an important part of the role. You can expect approximately 1-2 overnight hotel stays per month, with all travel expenses covered by the company.

Most assignments are scheduled in advance, allowing you to plan ahead. While occasional client-driven schedule changes occur, the majority of your work schedule is known ahead of time.

No two days are the same. You'll work at different client locations throughout Washington and operate independently with support from our scheduling and operations team.

You'll serve as a professional representative of A WorkSAFE Service, creating a positive experience for employees and clients while maintaining strict testing standards.

We believe in being transparent about the schedule requirements of this position:

• Most weeks can be completed within a four-day workweek
• Some assignments involve long workdays of 12-14 hours
• Certain jobs may begin very early (as early as 3:00 AM)
• Some assignments may extend past midnight
• Long shifts are not typically scheduled on consecutive days
• Occasional weekend work may be required (approximately 1-2 shifts every three months)
• Most schedules are established in advance

This role is ideal for someone seeking meaningful work without a traditional Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM schedule. Successful team members enjoy independence, flexibility, travel, and a work environment where no two days are exactly alike.

This is an active role that involves transporting and setting up testing equipment at client locations.

Candidates must be able to:

• Lift and carry equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
• Transport equipment over extended distances, including from parking areas to testing locations
• Navigate stairs, ferry terminals, ferry boats, and industrial job sites
• Load, unload, and set up testing equipment independently
• Work indoors and outdoors in a variety of environments and weather conditions

As part of federal and employer testing requirements, Mobile Safety & Compliance Specialists conduct a variety of drug and alcohol testing procedures.

Certain testing situations require the collector to directly monitor the collection process in accordance with federal regulations. Because these collections must be performed by a collector of the same gender as the donor, applicants should be comfortable performing same-gender observed collections when required by testing protocols.
